Doggy fashion show in China displays creativity of students majoring in fashion

Give me a news article about dogs and I will go on and on. I just love these adorable four legged creatures. My favorite animal, my favorite pet, I can’t describe just how much I love dogs. And pampering my favorite pet with new accessories and toys is what I love to do the most. So on this April 22 when I celebrated my birthday, China played host to an extremely adorable doggy fashion show. This unique show where the spotlight was on dogs and not the dog walkers was held by Wenzhou Vocational and Technical College in Wenzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province. All costumes were designed by students majoring in fashion at this show. A great show, I wish I was there to experience it myself.

Kitchen design ideas by Sheer

The Sheer kitchen design idea is composed of a 148 cm carbon fiber sphere. A great idea for any kitchen design and especially for the compact house or small house owner since it hardly takes up any space at all.

This kitchen design idea resembles a shiny egg or a small stylish hovering craft, very chic and elegant. The upper half of the sphere rises and attaches itself to the ceiling while also functioning as an aspirator and a lamp giving out a soft, intimate light. The sphere can also be lowered and closed in the original position – all by remote control.
The lower half of the sphere provides room for a circular worktop, a double sink, four burners, three bottle coolers, a retractable table and trolleys.
Completing this unique kitchen design idea by Sheer is a wall unit containing kitchen appliances, cabinet space and storage, as well as four elegant folding chairs. The Sheer kitchen sphere shape is compact as well as symbolic. It utilizes space to perfectly suit the modern lifystyle and our cooking and living necessities.

Growing Jewelry: Is Green the New Gold? + Origami Tea Bags Designed To Expand As Tea Steeps

With the rampant urbanization of our society, is a little patch of green becoming just as valuable as precious materials like diamonds and gold? Icelandic designer Hafsteinn Juliusson raises that question with his evocative line of “living” accessories called Growing Jewelry. The series of rings containing live moss ask us to rethink our modern definitions of luxury and our relationships to the physical objects that populate our lives. These rings require the same kind of care as any plant, becoming more vibrant and “valuable” as their owners allow them flourish. The retail environment resembles the minimalist design of a greenhouse, repurposing the lightning as “grow” lamps that simultaneously showcase and nurture the jewelry being displayed.

Russian designer Natalia Ponomareva has developed an origami bird tea bag concept, designed to expand as the tea steeps. While not yet in production, Ponomareva has expressed interest in making the concept available for commercial use.
